It guides intervention at the school and district level by a structure to support the adults and students on campus. Focused on promoting positive school climate, PBIS allows for the explicit teaching of rules and expectations while acknowledging students for appropriate behavior. A key feature of PBIS is the support school staff have for decision making, consequences and acknowledgement thereby allowing them to focus on the academic needs of students. |
