Resource Title | Safe School Ambassadors Program |
---|---|
Summary | The Safe School Ambassadors (SSA) program is an "inside-out" approach to improving school climate, that relies on social norms change and the power of students to help stop bullying and violence. Student bystanders are a critical and under-utilized resource for positively impacting the crisis of bullying in schools. They have the ability to intervene in ways adults can’t.
The SSA empowers student bystanders to speak up and intervene with their peers in bullying related incidents. The program aims to improve school climate overall by strengthening relationships among youth and adults. |
