Resource Title | Electronic Media, Violence, and Adolescents: An Emerging Public Health Problem |
---|---|
Summary | Young people are using media technology and the Internet to communicate with others throughout the world. Social networking sites like Facebook have allowed youth to easily develop relationships, some with people they have never met in person. In September 2006, the CDC convened a panel of experts to discuss issues related to the emerging health problem of electronic agression. A special issue of the Journal of Adolescent Health summarizes the data and recommendations from this expert panel meeting.
