Resource Title | USDE - Analysis of State Bullying Laws and Policies |
---|---|
Summary | Bullying in schools has become widely viewed as an urgent social, health and education concern that moved to the forefront of public debate on school legislation and policy. In August 2010, the U.S. Departments of Education and Health and Human Services cohosted the first Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Summit. The Summit highlighted the need for more comprehensive information about the current status of state legislation and how existing laws/policies translate into practice within the education system. To address this gap, the USDE initiated this study.
